Garaga, a Canadian garage door manufacturer, has improved its online design center, releasing the fourth version since the design center debuted in 2002. The newest design center, geared for end-users, allows consumers to view their homes with a new garage door using fewer steps.
Consumers have three options when using the Garaga design center: Upload a picture of their house and transpose a new door option onto the photo, choose from 23 house designs to use as a template, or choose just the door facade to view in the design center.
The new design center allows consumers to receive an e-mailed copy of the final result while providing the dealer with e-mail addresses that can be used for follow-up quotes. Door dealers can use the Garaga quotation program on Garaga’s extranet system GaragaNET, which offers an interface with the design center. Dealers have access to the same user-made design with more detail, and individual discounts are automatically applied. This allows dealers to create a professional quotation for customers with a complete product description and the selling price, along with a full-color image of the chosen product attached. This can be further utilized with the option of a before and after photo of the project. The design center can now be accessed via an iPad application.
Garaga manufactures garage doors for the residential, commercial and industrial markets. The company owns two plants, one in Saint-Georges-de-Beauce, Quebec, and the other in Barrie, Ontario. The company also has a distribution center in Montreal.
