The Genie Company, a manufacturer of access-control products for residential and commercial applications, launched a new website to support its commercial operator offering. The site is a single-source for the complete Genie Commercial Line.
The content of the site is for a variety of audiences including architects, contractors, building managers and maintenance supervisors. There are also specific details for dealers which commercial sales groups and installers can utilize.
“The Genie commercial website is the result of listening to different customers about what was important to each of them. Based on that input, we organized the website to be simple in appearance and yet have vast amounts of information available that can be accessed with as few clicks as possible,” says Ralph Angiuli, commercial products manager. “Whether someone is visiting to learn about our basic product offering, or drilling down to which modifications are available on a specific unit, the new Genie commercial website is ready to deliver, quickly and easily.”
The website provides a breakdown of each model by duty cycle, including light, medium, standard and heavy duty. Included are brochures, drawings, specifications, instruction manuals and an FAQ section. In addition, information is available to tailor a base operator to meet application requirements.
Genie’s parts and accessories, which are designed to meet the demands of commercial applications, are arranged by individual category such as radio controls and push buttons. Each comes with a photo and part number for identification purposes. For quicker reference, end users who need general information in a specific format can go to the product literature or architect corner sections.
The architect corner provides snapshot information for architects, such as three-part specifications, shop drawings, dimensional drawings, amperage charts and door charts. The product literature section has information for all audiences including dealer sales groups and installers. This information includes brochures, three-part specifications, operator/installation manuals and wiring diagrams.

Founded in 1923 and based in Mt. Hope, Ohio, Genie was originally named Alliance Manufacturing Co. and became known as Genie in 1994. Genie manufacturers garage door openers and accessories for residential and commercial applications. Its first mass-produced, radio-controlled residential garage door opener was made in 1954 and was called Genie. It is now a division of Dallas-based Overhead Door Corp.
