Carlo Gavazzi, a manufacturer of products for industrial automation, has expanded the range of PD30 series miniature photoelectric sensors.
The PD30 basic series features improved accuracy and a simplified set-up via potentiometer. It adds a background suppression version for diffuse sensing applications. The background suppression version uses a new sensing principle which improves the accuracy of the detection of different colors and allows for a tighter gap between the sensing target and the background.
The sensors are designed for applications where high-precision detection in compact spaces is required. The PD30 basic series shares many of the same features of the PD30 “teach-in” series, including:
- Industry standard 10-by-20-by-30 mm housing
- PNP/NPN & Normally Open/Normally Closed Outputs
- Sensing distance up to 15 meters in a small housing
- Dual LEDs for power and signal indication
- Simplified set-up via potentiometer
The PD30 basic series is designed to fit seamlessly into most material handling, packaging, pharmaceutical and parts detection applications. The sensors are available from Carlo Gavazzi’s North American network of sales offices and distributors.
Based in Buffalo Grove, Ill., Carlo Gavazzi manufactures, markets, and sells a range of products for industrial automation, energy and renewable energy, and building automation.
