Access-Control Manufacturer ASSA ABLOY Acquires 4Front Engineered Solutions

ASSA ABLOY, a provider of door opening solutions and associated products, has acquired 4Front Engineered Solutions, a manufacturer of loading dock and related products.

Headquartered in Carrollton, Texas, 4Front has operations in the United States, Canada, Mexico and India. The company has an annual revenue exceeding $165 million and employs more than 750 people.

4Front offers warehousing, manufacturing and distribution center customers loading dock and door products for the material-handling industry. The company markets its products under Kelley, Serco, TKO Dock Doors, APS Resource and 4SIGHT, and supports customers through a network of more than 225 distributors worldwide.

ASSA ABLOY has market positions in Asia, Europe, North America and the Pacific, and employs 42,000 around the world. The company formed in 1994 when Assa, a Swedish security firm merged with Abloy, a Finnish high-security lock manufacturer. The company’s products include locks and lock systems, wireless locks, door automation, access-control products, security doors and keyless entrance systems.
