Martin Door Manufacturing Appoints CEO, Reorganizes Leadership

Martin Door Manufacturing, a Salt Lake City-based manufacturer of residential and commercial doors, appointed Mark Stromberg as the company’s new CEO. Previously, Stromberg served as president of several companies including US West Inc. and Franklin Quest / FranklinCovey.

Martin Door has also reorganized its leadership to better capitalize on the strengths and experiences of leaders within the company, creating a team of managers who can work to execute the company’s “One Source, One Door” goal. The Martin Door management team consists of:

Dean ClarkDean Clark, chief financial officer. Clark has more than 25 years of senior management experience in finance and accounting. He joined Martin Door in 1996 and has worked with the company to employ innovative solutions in the realms of finance, accounting and information technology. Clark has also served as president of the Institute of Management Accountants and is currently serving as the chairman of the Utah Manufacturers Association.

David HaslamDavid Haslam, executive vice president of sales. Haslam has been a part of the Martin Door team for almost 40 years. He’s a results-oriented leader who’s always looking for new ways to promote sales and new products. Haslam has been actively involved in the garage door industry for many years. He has been a director for the International Door Association (IDA) and a director and vice president of the Far Western Garage Door Association.

Robert ScottRobert Scott, executive vice president of manufacturing and design. Scott was originally introduced to Martin Door while obtaining his master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Brigham Young University. He started with Martin Door shortly after graduation and has been with the company since. Many of the manufacturing processes and engineering innovations at Martin Door have been initiated by Scott.

Dan HerzogDan Herzog, general manager Martin factory sales. Herzog originally started at Martin Doors more than 20 years ago. He has been an integral member of the Martin Door sales team, working both locally and nationally with a number of the company’s customers. For the past 10 years, Herzog has served as the general manager of the Martin factory sales department.

John Mathews, customer service manager. Mathews has been with Martin Door for more than 25 years. His experience ranges from installation to sales, including installation training and retail account management. Mathews places a high emphasis on serving the customer. His background has given him the ability to contribute a number of innovative ideas to the customer service team.

John MathewsFounded in 1936, Martin Garage Doors is based in Salt Lake City and produces garage doors for homes and businesses around the globe. The family-owned company produces steel sectional garage doors that are available in five standard colors and 77 powdercoat color options, plus copper doors, and aluminum carriage house doors. Martin’s garage doors have more than 20 safety features for protecting children and adults.
