Nine months ago Amweld International LLC announced their new product line of steel doors marketed under the “Liberty” brand name. Liberty Doors by Amweld International, offer a unique “value-priced door” that is industry competitive and provides an aesthetically sound steel door alternative. The unique differences this new door provides to the marketplace are quality, choice and value!
The Liberty Door is made to SDI specifications and carries a five-year warranty, while similar products in the marketplace only have a one-year warranty or less. The door includes the same patented laser-welded edge construction used on Amweld’s quality Laser-Edge doors. The door has standard features, which are highlighted by a 90 minute WHI fire and smoke label, non-handed design, and a polystyrene core. Additionally the Liberty Door line can be used in all the Amweld Florida Building Code opening approvals, giving Amweld Distributors quite an advantage.
“Liberty Doors have filled a big void,” states Chuck Gerber, vice president of sales & marketing at Amweld International. “Amweld had recognized the need in the industry for an economical door for applications that required limited functions. Our initial offering was limited to several sizes with limited lock preps. Following the very successful product launch we have listened to our distributor’s requests to expand our product offering.”
The Liberty line has been expanded to include both 3068 and 3070 sizes in cold rolled and galvannealed steel with the following preps; D, YBP, T, PBBP, and a deadbolt prep all sold in full pallet quantities of 20 each.
This month Amweld will further expand its offering with a number of special sizes, through the order process of a Pre-Sold Production Run. Orders for the special sizes of
• 2068, 2668, 2868,3468, 3668, 4068
• 2670, 2870, 3470, 3670, 4070 and 3080
all in D prep, one size - per pallet of 20 doors, can be placed up to the end of each month and then the Monterrey plant will produce all the doors. The special size Liberty Doors can be shipped with all other standard Liberty Doors and all other Amweld doors and frames, including the new Tilt’N Place “A Complete Opening in a Box.”
The Liberty Door is suitable for use in commercial, residential and industrial building applications. The door fits standard steel frames and the lockset preparation provides for field installation of locksets manufactured in accordance with ANSI/DHI A115 (Mortise) or A115.2 (Bored). All doors are delivered prime coated, ready for field painting.
