Wayne-Dalton’s new Z-Wave Thermostat was named the “Greenest New Product” during an awards ceremony in the Z-Wave Alliance Lounge at the recent 2008 CEDIA Expo in Denver.
“We are extremely pleased with this ‘green’ recognition,” says Yan Rodriguez, director of home controls for Wayne-Dalton. “We are proud of the energy conservation feature of our new thermostat and believe homeowners will enjoy both the flexibility and cost-savings this product offers.”
The new thermostat is the latest addition to Wayne-Dalton’s Home Controls products line. Temperature control can be accessed through front panel buttons on the unit itself or remotely from any Z-Wave enabled remote control, computer or cell phone.
The thermostat’s energy conservation feature maximizes a homeowner’s energy savings through its simple and flexible “green” mode. The ability to set this mode with a single button and make adjustments remotely allows homeowners to change their temperature schedules to meet their daily needs, without losing the energy efficiency that overriding a remoteless system commonly causes.
The new Wayne-Dalton thermostat is available through technology installer dealers, distributors and builders at a price point affordable for most homeowners.
