Winston-Salem, N.C. – Amarr Garage Doors has entered into a distribution agreement with Phoenix-based Dynasty Iron Doors. Dynasty recently added ornamental garage doors to complement their popular ornamental iron entry doors. Amarr will distribute Dynasty Iron garage doors through their distribution centers that supply more than 3,000 independent garage door dealers and retail outlets.
“We first saw Dynasty’s garage doors at the International Builders’ Show in February. There was no doubt in our minds that we wanted this product line as a complement to our existing products,” said Patrick O’Sullivan, Amarr’s vice president of marketing and new ventures. “The handcrafted designs of these ornamental garage doors are unlike anything else in our industry. Dynasty has successfully extended their product offering from the entry door business into the world of garage door design, and we could not be happier than to be partnered with them.”
Dynasty Iron Doors, co-founded by Eric Swapp and Kevin Wright, is the first manufacturer to market unique ornamental wrought iron garage doors. “Iron craftsmanship of this type does not fit Amarr’s manufacturing model, so having Dynasty design and manufacture the doors makes a lot of sense for us,” added O’Sullivan. “Amarr will provide the sales and distribution network to make Dynasty iron garage doors readily available to garage dealers nationwide.”
“This is a match made in heaven,” said Wright. “We know we have a great product based on the tremendous response we’ve received in the marketplace, but we needed the infrastructure of a more mature garage door company to distribute the doors. Amarr brings that to us with their national distribution footprint. Instead of spending the next ten years trying to build a distribution network, with the help of Amarr, we’ve got it out of the gate.”
Dynasty Iron garage doors will be available through Amarr’s Door Centers beginning in August.
