Wayne-Dalton Names Executive Vice-President of Manufacturing Operations

Wayne-Dalton announced the promotion of Michael D. Kridel to executive vice-president of manufacturing operations.

Kridel is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to achieve efficient operations. In this role, Kridel will oversee the manufacturing plants, product engineering, supply chain management and transportation. He will also be responsible for manufacturing operations in France.

Previously, Kridel worked 18 years for General Electric and most recently held the position of manager in specialty incandescent operations for the GE Consumer Products division. His accomplishments in this assignment included a General Electric Consumer Products President’s Award for Customer Centricity and he has implemented several Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Initiatives.

Kridel received an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and computer systems from the University of Toledo. He served 20 years in the Ohio National Guard and retired as a major.
