Martin Door Part of DIY Television Episode
12/06/2007
A do-it-yourself TV show that focuses on improving the home, one room at a time, will feature a garage makeover that includes the installation of a new Martin Garage Door. A new carriage house Martin aluminum door was installed on a '60s-era home in Centennial, Colo. (located south of Denver) for an upcoming episode of “Sweat Equity.” The show airs on the DIY TV network. The episode is expected to air in early February 2008. Dave Martin, chairman of Martin Door Manufacturing (MDM), and Mike Martin, Director of Advertising at MDM, were on hand for the filming, and Dave was interviewed. Martin Garage Doors of Colorado installed the door, a company owned by Mike and Denise Lake. The TV producer said he was particularly impressed with how Dave Martin talked about Martin Doors on camera. “I was impressed, especially with the things he had to say about the safety of the door,” Production Assistant Adam Romsdahl said of the interview. Mike Lake said it was neat to be part of the TV shoot. “It was nice for the opportunity to get Martin on TV,” Lake said of the installation.
