C.H.I. Overhead Doors Inc.

C.H.I. Overhead Doors Inc.
The door to quality

When you think about what goes into a product, it’s important to remember who’s behind it.

C.H.I. Overhead Doors Inc. is one of the fastest growing garage door manufacturers in the industry. With its commitment to quality and value, the company recognizes the importance of delivering a reliable product while offering an impressive collection of quality overhead doors. The vision began when Willis Miller first started producing steel garage doors more than 20 years ago. He designed a product that combined high-quality steel pans, durable components, and superior craftsmanship at a good value. The result was the beginning of what would become an impressive legacy in overhead door manufacturing.

The company has continued to grow and prosper. After several annexations, C.H.I. maintains an impressive physical presence in Arthur, Ill. That physical presence pales in comparison to the reputation the company has developed in the business of manufacturing reliable overhead doors. C.H.I. has expanded its production facilities to incorporate roughly 600,000 square feet under one roof.

To continue efforts in increasing product offerings to their customers, C.H.I. expanded its walls to make room for the Rolling Steel Department in 2001. This venture began with service doors and fire doors. Since then, counter shutters and fire shutters have been added.

In late 2002, C.H.I. expanded its line of doors with the Carriage House Collection to meet the ever-growing demand for the authentic look of the wood carriage house door. This collection consists of three main door styles: the 5530 with a prefinished urethane exterior; the 5430 with a plywood exterior; and the 5330 with a rough-sawn hardboard exterior.

Due to the continuing demand for a maintenance-free carriage house door, a new generation of garage doors was introduced in January 2004. The 5200 Series Steel Carriage House Door is truly an innovative product. Not only is it the premier carriage house door to be constructed entirely of steel, but it gives the homeowner a historically accurate recreation of the traditional wood carriage house door. The 5200 series is comprised of three main products: the 5240 noninsulated door, a 5241 insulated pan door, and the thermally-broken urethane core 5216 door. The thermally broken tongue-and-groove section joint of the 5216 offers the added protection of a continuous weather seal. C.H.I.’s Steel Carriage House Door provides the maintenance-free durability of steel and, with a diverse collection of window, hardware and color options, customers will be able to find a door that complements any home.

C.H.I. recently added Model 2216 to its ever-increasing line of doors. This thermally broken door offers optimum weather protection. The 2216 is a short panel, urethane-injected door available in three designer colors and a diverse collection of window options. It is also available in long panel and flush models.

Because of its rich heritage, C.H.I. stands for exceptional quality, design, strength and style. C.H.I. doors are built to last by skilled craftsmen who genuinely care about quality. They build some of the most durable, long-lasting overhead doors in the industry. Two decades later, C.H.I. continues to strive for excellence.

Introducing new products, building new production facilities, installing cutting- edge technology, and providing unsurpassed customer service keeps the company at the forefront of overhead door manufacturing. The service-oriented staff is committed to the timely, accurate delivery of every door purchased. C.H.I.’s goal has always been excellent customer service and a quality product at a reasonable price. That philosophy hasn’t changed. It continues to be a tradition in every phase of the manufacturing process.

Having an excellent product is only the beginning of a successful business. One of C.H.I.’s dealers said, “It’s important to me that in all aspects of my business we keep it as high quality as we can, and C.H.I. fits in with what I want to do for my company.” C.H.I. believes that you only have an excellent product when everything else is working together. The company has partnered with many different people to make the C.H.I. network of friends and family what it is today. Being “the door to quality” does not come easily, but for C.H.I. there is no other way.
